KNRC in TÜRKIYE In the wake of the devastating earthquakes that struck Türkiye in early February 2023, The Republic of Korea National Red Cross (KNRC) has been actively collaborating with the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC), the largest humanitarian organization in Türkiye, to provide crucial support to those affected. Through our joint programs with TRC, we have reached more than 601,000 individuals in the earthquake-affected areas. There was a substantial development in TRC's access to communities and its humanitarian service delivery capabilities, through the enhanced vehicle fleet capacity of its branch offices affected by the 2023 February earthquakes. TRC branches are now able to reach more people in a timely and efficient manner, including those in rural and hard to reach areas, as well as people in vulnerable situations such as older people, people with disabilities, women and children.
